Agent Status
Agent Status is a personal project built around a familiar problem: keeping track of several AI coding agents at once. I designed and developed a native macOS companion that brings their reported activity, requests for attention, and available usage data into one place. From the menu bar to an animated desktop pet or a compact Dynamic Island view, it makes ongoing work easier to follow without constantly switching between windows.
A clearer view of work in progress
When several agents are running, the next step can get buried across chats and terminals. Agent Status brings supported conversations together so you can see reported activity and know when an agent needs your input. It connects with Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, and Ollama, with capabilities that reflect the signals each provider makes available.

A little personality on your desktop
The desktop companions turn agent activity into something you can notice at a glance. Animated characters react to reported states and keep conversation details close by. For a quieter setup, the Dynamic Island view sits at the top of the display and expands to reveal activity. Both sit alongside a native menu bar interface, giving the same product different ways to fit into a working day.

Useful detail, without the guesswork
Available account limits, reset times, conversation history, and Codex token totals by project folder help put the work in context. The interface distinguishes current reports from older readings and makes unavailable data clear. Monitoring records stay on the Mac, and the app does not require an Agent Status account.

From native app to product website
The project brings together interface design, native development, character artwork, and a dedicated website. Interactive website demos introduce the desktop pet, Dynamic Island, and menu bar experiences, while feature and setup pages explain how the app fits into an existing workflow. Agent Status is still in development; a public app download is not yet available.
