Show Gemini a real object or the page on your phone and talk through one question at a time. This walkthrough uses a desk setup and a website preview to help you get useful feedback, check what Gemini actually saw, and stop sharing when you finish.

Before you start
- An Android phone or tablet with the Gemini mobile app and the latest Google app, or an iPhone or iPad with the Gemini app. Live is not available in the Gemini web app.
- A signed-in Google account with access to Gemini Live. Google lists an age requirement of over 13 or the applicable age in your country; account and feature availability can vary.
- Notifications enabled for Gemini Live, which Google requires for screen sharing, and permission to use your microphone and camera when the app asks.
- A non-sensitive object to show, or a website preview already open on your phone. Remove private information from view before sharing your whole screen.

Skills you’ll need: Use camera and screen-sharing controls, show one clear view, and verify the feedback against what you can see.

How this helps your brand
Showing a real view can help you identify an obstacle in a workspace or phone page. Confirming what Gemini saw before changing anything keeps its feedback connected to the experience you want to improve.
Step 1: Choose one question you can check yourself
Start with something small: “Which two things make this desk look cluttered?” or “Can a visitor find the contact button on this page?” Decide what a useful answer would let you change.
For a first attempt, use your own desk or a public page. Close messages and account pages before screen sharing, and leave other people out of the camera view unless they have agreed to be included.
Step 2: Start Live and explain the goal aloud
Open the Gemini mobile app, tap Live at the bottom, and follow the first-use instructions. Say what you want help with before showing anything.
Try: “I want this desk to look less crowded during video calls. I will show you the desk. Describe what you can see before suggesting two changes.” That first description gives you a way to catch a misunderstanding.
Tip: Read the prompt below aloud in Live. You do not need to paste it into an ordinary text chat.
Step 3: Show one steady camera view
Tap the camera control in Live to share your camera. On some screens Google describes this as turning on video streaming. Use the camera-switch control if the wrong camera is facing the object.
Hold the view still and ask which visible details support the answer. If Gemini mentions an object that is not there, correct it before continuing. Move closer to one detail rather than waving the camera across the room.
Tap the camera control again when you have finished showing the object.

Match the answer to the scene
- 1Loose cables beside the laptop
Gather them into one tidy bundle.
- 2Notebooks stacked near the lamp
Move the stack off the desk.
Only use a suggestion if its visible detail is correct.
In this desk example, each suggestion points to something you can actually see. Correct a mistaken description before making a change. - 1
Step 4: Share your screen for feedback on a page
On the Live screen, tap Turn on screen sharing and follow the phone’s confirmation instructions. Your full screen is shared. Open the website preview you prepared and ask one specific question.
For example: “Here is the home page on my phone. Read the main heading and tell me where you would tap to contact this business.” Scroll slowly, then ask for a second observation. Make any website changes yourself in the tool you normally use.

Contact the studio 2Say one specific question
“Read the main heading. Where would you tap to contact this business?”
- 1 Check the words
- Gemini reads “A home that feels like you.”
- 2 Check the location
- It identifies “Contact the studio” below the description.
After Live, test the contact action yourself.
This illustrative website is not an exact Gemini screen. Readable words and a named contact action let you check what Gemini saw. Scroll slowly when you need to show more. Step 5: Restore the view if sharing stops
Locking your screen or putting Live on hold stops screen sharing. Unlocking or resuming the conversation does not restart it; turn screen sharing on again and confirm the page is visible.
Leaving the Gemini app or locking the screen also turns the camera off. Return to Live and turn it on again if needed. If a control is missing, confirm you are in the mobile app and check account access and app updates; Google rolls out Live changes gradually.
If the view is active but the answer is wrong, read the important text aloud or show a closer view. Ask Gemini to say what it cannot make out. Do not keep making changes based on a mistaken description.
Illustrated exampleResume the view as well as the conversation- Sharing stopsScreen locks or Live goes on hold
The page is no longer being shared.
- Start it againUnlock, return to Live, enable sharing
Resuming the conversation alone does not restart the view.
- Check the viewAsk what is visible now
Confirm the right page before asking for more feedback.
Using the camera? Leaving Gemini or locking the phone turns it off. Return to Live and turn the camera on again.
After a lock or hold, turn screen sharing on again and follow the phone’s confirmation instructions. Ask for a fresh description to confirm the view is back. - Sharing stopsScreen locks or Live goes on hold
Step 6: Stop sharing and keep one useful action
Return to Gemini and tap Turn off screen sharing, then tap End to finish Live and review the transcript. For a camera session, turn the camera off before ending.
Write down one suggestion you agree with and the visible reason for it. Try that change, then inspect the result yourself. For the website example, check that you can actually find and use the contact button on your phone.
You're done when
- Gemini correctly described a detail from the camera or screen before you relied on its feedback.
- You have one specific suggestion and have checked whether it improves the object or page.
- Camera or screen sharing is off and the Live conversation has ended.

COPY AND PASTE
I want help with [one task, such as making my desk less cluttered or reviewing my website on a phone]. I will show you [the object or page]. First describe the relevant details you can actually see. If anything is unclear, ask me to move closer, scroll, or read it aloud. My goal is [a concrete result]. Suggest two small changes and explain the visible reason for each. Let me check your first suggestion before we continue. Do not guess text or details you cannot see.
Use this as a spoken script after opening Gemini Live in the mobile app. Replace the bracketed fields, then enable the camera or screen sharing for the view you want to discuss.
